2013 Sawdust Artist Series: Bette McIntire

The next installment of our 2013 Sawdust Artist Video Series features mixed media poetry artist, Bette McIntire.   Her work as a writer is evident in her mixed media pieces, which feature a fusion of words, phrases, and pastel drawings. McIntire first exhibited at the Sawdust Art Festival in 2007 and has since been evolving her series “Drawing Lines on Life.” The inspiration for the series comes from the thought that “each day we hit the open road,” as McIntire states, “it’s the blank day; we do the same thing with a blank piece of paper.” Watch McIntire in her home studio as she reveals to us her unique process.
