Artist Statement
My photography begins close to home, inspired by the natural beauty of Laguna Beach. I’m drawn to changing light, quiet moments, and everyday scenes along the coast, and I enjoy capturing images that feel familiar and natural, the simple moments that often go unnoticed.
Alongside my local work, I spend a lot of time creating more artistic black-and-white images, focusing primarily on architectural details, interior spaces, and urban scenes. I’m drawn to strong lines, shadows, and candid moments that occur spontaneously, without staging or direction.
My goal is simple: to create images that feel timeless and approachable, and that invite you to pause for just a moment.
Artist Bio
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, I have lived in California for over 20 years and have called Laguna Beach home since 2021. My photography is shaped by the world around me, whether wandering the coastline and neighborhoods of Laguna Beach or traveling across Europe and the U.S. After years of developing a personal body of work, I began working professionally in 2025. I’m excited to share these moments and perspectives with visitors at the Sawdust Art Festival.
