Joan Gladstone

Joan Gladstone’s expressive and vibrant seascapes, landscapes and portraits have been featured in more than a dozen prestigious juried fine art exhibitions. The Hilbert Museum of California Art will host an exhibition of her work from August to November 2021.

Joan learned to draw and paint at Boston University’s School of Fine Arts and the Laguna College of Art + Design. She has painted contemporary representational oil paintings for more than 20 years.

Her seascapes reflect her deep love of the ocean. She spent every summer of her childhood near Coney Island’s beaches. She has explored the undersea world as a certified scuba diver. She also paints landscapes inspired by bicycling trips with her husband Ed, an actor and screenwriter.

Joan is represented by Quorum Gallery, the first artist-owned gallery in Laguna Beach. Joan has lived in beautiful Laguna Beach for 30 years.
