Announces 2011 Grand Prize Fall Getaway

Laguna Beach, CA – The Laguna Beach Passport to the Arts team is proud to offer the popular Passport to the Arts for the third consecutive year, which means preseason purchasers will once again have the opportunity to win a “Grand Prize Fall Getaway for Two” if they purchase before Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Festival-goers who purchase their Passports before June 1 will automatically be entered to win a fall getaway to Laguna Beach, which includes prizes from the following local businesses:
• Hotel Laguna – Stay two nights in an oceanfront room in the heart of Laguna Beach.
• Sundried Tomato – Dinner for Two
• Watermarc – Dinner for Two
• The Laguna Playhouse – Two tickets to any 2010-11 Mainstage performance at the West Coast’s oldest continually operating theater
• Laguna Art Museum – Two tickets for admission
• LOCA’s Art & Sea Escapes – Art lessons and a Tidepool Tour for two (winner will also receive a ‘Tidepool Scene’ DVD)

Offering unlimited admission all summer long to the upcoming three festivals, Art-A-Fair, The Festival of Arts and Sawdust Art Festival, the world-renowned sister festivals, in collaboration with the Laguna Beach Visitors & Conference Bureau, are pleased to announce there will be no increase in the $19 price point for the 2011 season. The triple-value season pass, one-time free parking at the Act V lot at 1900 Laguna Canyon Road, and special discounts to select local retailers and merchants, are all valued at a minimum of $36.
Not only does the Passport to the Arts offer guests the opportunity to experience more than 500 artists, 300 hands-on art workshops, 200 live musical performances, dozens of special events and a wide variety of great restaurants, but the Passport also provides ticket holders the chance to give back to the arts communities and to be a part of something great. This year, with the integral support of Bank of America, the Passport to the Arts team is collaborating with Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) to encourage healing through arts education. Special events and details on how to participate will soon be announced.

The Passport will also be on sale on-site at any of the festival box offices and at the City of Laguna Beach during the run of the shows. Free shuttle service to the festivals from various points in Laguna Beach and from the Act V parking lot will be available throughout the summer.
For information about overnight stays and things to do while in Laguna Beach, drop in to the Official Visitors Center, located at 381 Forest Avenue (inside Coast Sotheby’s International Realty). The Visitors Center is open daily, Monday-Sunday, 10am-5pm.
