New This Year at 48th Annual Sawdust Art Festival
The 48th Annual Sawdust Art Festival runs June 27 through August 31, 2014
Laguna Beach, CA – In addition to the 16 new artists and several new musical acts, the Sawdust Art Festival presents two brand new art programs this upcoming season, “Sip, Talk & Walk” artist tours every Wednesday at 3pm and 7pm, and “Kids Art Alley” art classes every Thursday from 6-8pm.
“Sip, Talk & Walk” artist tours will be open to the public during two slots each Wednesday of the festival. Guests can sign up ahead of time by calling 949-494-3030 or while on-site at the festival grounds. Groups of up to 15 will be led by a Sawdust docent on a guided tour around the grounds, learning of Sawdust tidbits and history, and brief art presentations from a varied roster of artists, while tasting wine and beer. “Sip, Talk & Walk” tours are complimentary with admission price and will be offered at 3pm and 7pm near the Info Booth.
“Kids Art Alley” is a new art class series designed for children ages 5 and up, offered upstairs in the Healy House by the Main Entertainment Deck of the festival grounds. Each Thursday evening from 6-8pm a varied set of art projects will be hosted for a $3 fee. Sign-ups for Thursday evening “Kids Art Alley” classes will be available at the Sales Booth. Both Sawdust artists and staff will teach a different set of classes each week. Thursday evenings is also Laguna Beach residents night at the Sawdust, where Laguna Beach residents receive free admission with ID after 5pm. The Sawdust is happy to support the local community and its families each Thursday evening with “Kids Art Alley,” a new unique art education program.
The Sawdust Art Festival is a non-profit art organization dedicated to educating the public and promoting the art created in Laguna Beach.
