19th Annual Winter Fantasy
A World of Art and Imagination
Weekends November 21 – December 13, 10 am – 6 pm 
The Sawdust Art Festival opens its 19th Annual Winter Fantasy this weekend Saturday, November 21 at 10 am. The Sawdust grounds are currently being transformed into a winter wonderland, where over 170 artists will show off their latest handcrafted artwork.
What better place to do your holiday shopping than at the Winter Fantasy, where you will find unique handmade items. You will find artwork created from a wide variety of art media including art glass, ceramics, jewelry, clothing and textiles, paintings, gourds, photography, mixed-media and much more.
Community Tree
Tree Lighting Ceremony
Saturday, November 21 at 6 pm
Come celebrate Community Night on opening day with our 19th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 pm with Laguna Beach Mayor Kelly Boyd, Sawdust President Jim Stanaland and, of course, Santa. At 6 pm winners of the community tree decorating contest will be announced in Town Square and the Mayor will then officially light the big Community Tree signifying the start of the 2009 holiday season!
Laguna Beach residents are admitted FREE after 3 pm with ID. Complimentary cookies and cider will be served at the ceremony, with special community group performances on the main deck and in Town Square.
Toys for Tots
Toy drive during first two weekends
November 21 – 29
Bring in a new unwrapped toy gift for children ages newborn to 17 and receive FREE admission into the Winter Fantasy. Toys for Tots is a foundation supported by the Marine Corps Reserve. Members will be present on the grounds to meet and greet visitors. Redeem your free admission at the Sawdust Box Office. Toys must be valued at $5 or more. One free admission per gift.
Zoomars Petting Zoo
Small farm animal petting zoo each weekend
November 21 – December 13
New on the festival grounds this year will be Zoomars Petting Zoo during each weekend of the show. Get up close and personal with your favorite furry friend!
Art Classes
Festive art and craft classes each weekend
November 21 – December 31 
Check out our daily art class schedule. Try your hand at a wide variety of art and craft projects including the Special Winter Art Series classes and holiday art projects. Visit the Ceramic Center, Sawdust Studio, Children’s Art Spot and Winter Art Series spot.
