Patti Klingenmeier celebrates her 31st year as an exhibitor in this year’s 43rd annual Sawdust Art Festival. Patti began hand-crafting sculptures in the “likeness” of family and friends after moving to Laguna Beach from Chicago with her family 33 years ago, and the demand for her one-of-a-kind originals quickly grew into a small business which she managed between teaching assignments for the Capistrano-Laguna Beach School Districts, where she taught Entrepeneurship and Retail Trades for over 25 years before retiring this year.
Patti continues to add to her list of “characters” and credits her customers for inspiring her, “including my special polymer creations in the Special Box I include in my booth design at the Sawdust every year,” she said.
This year Patti has added a new line of one-of-a-kind “Funkie Fairies” to her creative endeavors.
