The Sawdust Art Enrichment Fund is a philanthropic effort, which supports educating the public about the arts through programs that provide hands-on experience in creating art for the underserved populations. The Fund actively seeks donations to support its programs.
From its humble beginning on a dirt lot over 50 years ago to its current standing as one of the premier fine arts and crafts shows in the nation, the Sawdust Art Festival in its storied existence opens a new chapter, an Art Enrichment Fund. The Sawdust Art Festival, a non-profit corporation from its inception, has as its mission “to education the public about art created in Laguna Beach.” The Sawdust Art Enrichment Fund (SAEF) was created nearly 10 years ago and offers those who are interested in the arts, an opportunity to preserve that original plan of educating about art through monetary donations and bequests.
The Sawdust Art Enrichment Fund (SAEF) is a philanthropic effort which supports educating the public about the arts through programs that provide experiences in creating art. SAEF provides hands-on art workshops to underserved populations including at-risk youth and armed forces and their families. Recently SAEF has also worked alongside the non-profit organization American Family Housing (AFH) to provide art classes to formerly homeless at-risk youth. These classes are taught by professional local artists on the Sawdust Art Festival grounds. Our classes provide an opportunity to receive art as therapy or as a pathway to creating a business for entrepreneurship.
The continuation of our program depends on acquiring grants and donations made by individuals like you.
