Where are Sawdust Art Classes located?
All Sawdust Art Classes are held on the Sawdust Art Festival grounds unless otherwise stated. The Sawdust Art Festival is located at 935 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.

Where do I park when I arrive?
During the off-season, parking is available in front of the festival grounds. You do not need to feed the meters for they are not checked during the off-season.
During the festival season, parking is available in front of the festival grounds in the metered spaces and in pay for the day parking lots. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before your class to be sure you have time to park.

Where on the grounds are the classes held?
There are three locations classes may be held on the grounds. When you arrive, there will be a sign leading you to the appropriate location. The majority of classes are held in our Jewelry Studio which is located past the Healy House, near our offices. The Healy House, the second story of the large brown building near the main entertainment deck, is used for larger classes. We have a few classes that are held on the grounds in one of our permanent art studios, Studio One, Art Spot, Ceramics Center and glass demonstration booth.
*All ceramics classes are held in the Ceramics Center and all glassblowing classes are held in the glass demonstration booth on our grounds.

What should I wear and/or bring to my class?
Each class is different, but for all classes, we recommend wearing clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and closed toed shoes to protect your feet. If necessary, aprons will be given for classes that are overly messy, i.e. pottery and painting.

What if I see a class I would like to take but there are no scheduled dates?
If you see a class you are interested in taking, feel free to give the Sawdust Art classes an e-mail and we will do our best to accommodate you. We encourage you to enroll in the classes on our existing schedule.

Who teaches the Sawdust Art Classes?
Each class is taught by a professional artist. Most instructors are Sawdust Art Festival exhibitors or festival art class instructors. You may find biographies on each instructor on the class registration page.

What happens if I register for a class and then am no longer able to attend?
We understand that sometimes things come up that are outside of your control. If you are unable to attend a class you must notify The Sawdust Art Classes a minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of class, and we will refund you the cost of the class minus a 5% processing fee.

What if I would like to register for a large group of people to take a class?
We welcome large parties. Sawdust Art Classes are great for team building events, birthdays, wedding and bridal parties or just for fun! Please fill out the contact form below with your name, contact information, the type of class you are interested in taking, the number of participants and approximate dates of the class. Our Sawdust Art Class Manager, Greta, will be in contact to schedule a class!

What is the age requirements for Sawdust Art Classes?
At this time, our classes are designed for adults only, ages 18 and up. The one exception is the pottery classes which have an age limit of 14 and up. For all private classes, the age limit will be at the discretion of the instructor. For all classes, whether pottery or private classes, participants under the age of 18 must have a parent present who is also enrolled in the class.

What is the refund policy?
The Sawdust Art Class Program does not refund for any missed classes.  If our classes do not reach the minimum of three students, you may choose to receive a full refund or credit towards a future class.  If you should need to Cancel your enrollment due to unexpected circumstances, you must notify the studio a minimum of 48 hours before the start of class, and we will refund you the cost of the class minus a 5% processing fee.
