Sawdust Art Festival Opens its Doors!
44th Annual Sawdust Art Festival
Friday, June 25 at 10 am
The Sawdust Art Festival celebrates its 44th annual season this summer, opening its gates to the public Friday, June 25 at 10 am.
Over 200 Laguna Beach artists, 22 first-timers in the Sawdust, excitedly await a fresh summer season. Sawdust artists will create, exhibit and sell their artwork everyday this summer, using a wide variety of media including ceramics, painting, jewelry, photography, woodwork, clothing, glass work, mixed media, sculpture and much more!
Art Demonstrations
Sawdust artists will create their artwork right in front of your eyes! In addition to over 200 artists creating artwork on the grounds, guests can watch the blown-glass artists at work in our Glassblowing Booth.
Check out the Sawdust Studio, Ceramic Center and Children’s Art Spot, and explore your creative side. Many Sawdust artists volunteer their time and expertise to offer a wide variety of fine art and craft projects to our guests around the grounds.
Wine-tasting Wednesdays
This Week: 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma
Wednesday, June 30, 6-10 pm
|
Try the 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma County, by the Sawdust Saloon on Wednesday, June 30 from 6-10 pm. Their signature style of ‘non grassy’ Sauvignon Blanc is achieved by blending Sauvignon Musqué (a clonal cousin of Sauvignon Blanc) which balances the wine’s natural acidity, strengthens the mid-palate and provides a longer finish. The nose has an intensely perfumed fresh bouquet of pink grapefruit and lemon cream combined with energetic spice notes underlined by invigorating minerality. Emulating the nose, the palate of crisp citrus and melon flavor carries a hint of dry white herb accompanied by a soft, round mouth feel resulting in a medium bodied, fresh, food-friendly wine.

Open 10-10 Daily
You will also find great outdoor cafes, live entertainment, and much more on the festival grounds 10-10 daily through August 29. Don’t miss the diversity in character, creativity and action at the Sawdust Art Festival!
Thank you for supporting the arts!
Sincerely,
The Sawdust Art Festival Team
