SAWDUST ART FESTIVAL PRESENTS ANNUAL
ARTISTS’ BENEVOLENCE FUND LIVE ART AUCTION
(Artists’ Benevolence Fund Live Art Auction takes place Sunday, August 2 from 2-5 pm)
Laguna Beach, CA – The Sawdust Art Festival will hold its annual Artists’ Benevolence Fund Live Art Auction Sunday, August 2 from 2 pm to 5 pm on the festival’s Main Entertainment Deck. The event is open to the public and all proceeds will benefit the Sawdust’s Artists’ Benevolence Fund, a fund established in 1987 to “help artists who have suffered hardship from an impaired health condition, a personal tragedy or catastrophe.”
The fund provides financial aid to artists living in Laguna Beach whose primary source of income is generated from their artwork. Sawdust exhibitors are generously donating all types of artwork to be auctioned off at this Sunday’s event. Auction items may be previewed the day of the event from noon to 2 pm.
Professional auctioneer, Tony DeZago, will emcee the event for the fifteenth consecutive year. DeZago’s personal knowledge of Sawdust artists and their artwork makes the bidding process “fun, fast and furious.” Complimentary to the auction audience will be ice cold lemonade and fresh popcorn donated by Fran’s Popcorn Booth.
All are welcome to the live auction in support of a worthy cause; participation and observation are complimentary with admission into the festival, and anyone may donate to the fund by sending contributions to the Artists’ Benevolence Fund, Sawdust Art Festival, 935 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.
