(“Original Collectors’ Panels” proceeds will benefit Sawdust Art Education programs)

Laguna Beach, CA – The Sawdust Art Festival is proud to introduce its “Original Collectors’ Panels” fundraiser in support of 2010 Sawdust Art Education programs. Over 70 Sawdust artists have donated their time and artistic talents to create a diverse collection of decorative art panels using a wide variety of media. Compared to last year’s 14 fundraiser participants, the enthusiasm of these 70 fundraising artists exemplifies the coming together of the Sawdust family for a unified cause. “It’s time to utilize power in numbers, pull together, and give back to our organization,” states Art Education Committee Chair Muffin Spencer-Devlin.

The unique and diverse details that went into creating these impressive art panels are destined to draw a crowd to the festival this summer season. The Original Collectors’ Panels will be on display around the Sawdust grounds and in artists’ booths, and will be pre-auctioned during the run of show.   A final live auction will take place Sunday, August 22 from 3-5 pm on the Main Entertainment Deck, and proceeds will benefit the Sawdust Art Education Fund.

Visitors can expect to meet and greet the Original Collectors’ Panels artists this summer on the festival grounds and learn about the creative processes and inspiration behind the panel pieces.
