Folks from the Sawdust Art Festival built a multi-level float and had a great time at the 49th Laguna Beach Patriot’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 7.
It was a beautiful morning as 93 entrants, including more than 50 floats, started at Laguna Beach High School and traversed the streets to City Hall. The Sawdust’s float resembled the exterior facade of the festival, perched atop General Manager Tom Klingenmeier’s white Chevy Silverado truck.
The Sawdust did not win a trophy, but board members, exhibitors and staff made their presence known with red, white and blue face paint, a Sawdust banner, signs representing various art media and more. For a list of winners, check out the Stu News Laguna list and slideshow.
