SAWDUST ARTISTS TEACH
SPECIAL PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES
(Special Photography Series classes will take place Mondays in August from 7-9 pm)

Laguna Beach, CA – Supporting the Sawdust’s mission to educate the public and promote the art created in Laguna Beach, Sawdust photographers David Linnig and Paul Renner will instruct a new set of classes, Special Photography Series, taught Monday evenings in the festival’s Healy House from 7 pm to 9 pm.   Classes are designed for students, pre-teen to adult, and scheduled as follows:

• Monday, August 3 (7-9 pm) “Seeing Light I” – Instructor David Linnig will cover topics of basic composition and the use of light. Topics including “rule of thirds,” leading lines, form, shape, merges, negative spaces, white balance, depth of field and others will be covered. Bring in your cameras, digital or film, and learn how to get the most out of your camera. $5 fee.

• Monday, August 10 (7-9 pm) “Seeing Light II” – Photographer David Linnig will continue part two of his “Seeing Light” class and cover elements of composition, direction and quality of light, and camera controls. Bring in your cameras, digital or film, and learn how to make better photographs of your favorite subjects. $5 fee.

• Monday, August 17 (7-9 pm) “Vacation Photography I, Wildlife” – Instructor Paul Renner will share with students the technique he uses in his own profession as wildlife photographer. $5 fee.

• Monday, August 24 (7-9 pm) “Vacation Photography I, Landscape” – Instructor Paul Renner will share with students the technique he uses in his own profession as photographer, emphasizing landscape subjects. $5 fee.

The Sawdust Art Festival is located at 935 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach with free City trolley service to and from the Act V parking lot. Admission prices are: Adult $7.50; Seniors (65+) $6; Children (6-12) $3; Children (5 and under) Free; Summer Season Pass $15; Annual Pass (unlimited admission to summer and winter shows) $20.
