Artist Statement

My work as a silversmith is a reflection of my deep-rooted connection to the natural world and the untamed beauty that has shaped my life. Since 2017, I’ve been exploring the alchemy of metal and stone—an ever-evolving practice rooted in traditional techniques I first learned during an apprenticeship in Flagstaff, Arizona. My creations are informed by the rhythms of rivers, the grace of oceans, and the stillness of mountains—places where I’ve spent years guiding, wandering, and listening.

Each piece I create is a one-of-a-kind, hand-fabricated, and hand-stamped piece of jewelry—made mostly in sterling silver, but also incorporating gold, copper, and rose gold. I value the tactile process of working with my hands, allowing the raw materials to guide the design and reveal their own story. No molds, no shortcuts—just honest craftsmanship and a reverence for the imperfections that make something truly unique.

Rooted in the duality of strength and delicacy found in nature, my work is a wearable expression of wild landscapes and quiet moments. Whether inspired by a sunlit canyon wall or the pulse of a Pacific tide, each piece is meant to ground the wearer in a sense of place, presence, and purpose.

Artist Bio

Amanda Cody K, a dedicated and passionate silversmith, has been honing her craft since 2017. Her journey began in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she apprenticed under a master silversmith, learning the intricate techniques and timeless traditions of the art. Throughout her 20s, Amanda’s adventurous spirit led her to run rivers across various states and countries, constantly seeking new experiences and inspiration.
Born and mostly raised in Arizona, Amanda also has deep ties to Laguna Beach, where she spent her summers with her grandparents and attended Laguna Beach High School for a time. These summers by the ocean have left an indelible mark on her work, infusing it with a sense of the natural beauty and serenity she found there.

Since 2009, Amanda has spent every summer as a river guide, drawing immense inspiration from the unexplainable moods, grace, and strength that bodies of water impart. Her love for nature extends to the mountains as well; as an avid snowboarder, she finds inspiration in the majestic peaks and the moments of solitude they offer.

Amanda’s artistry is a reflection of her deep connection with nature and her adventurous lifestyle. Each piece she creates tells a story of her journeys and the profound impact the natural world has on her spirit and creativity.
