Artist Statement

I never planned on becoming a jewelry artist. During COVID, while teaching piano lessons over Zoom, I wanted to keep my younger students engaged. I began working with polymer clay to create my own piano earrings to wear during my lessons.

One pair turned into many. Friends began asking for custom designs, and soon my students wanted to learn how to make their own. What started as a small creative experiment has grown into handmade seasonal earrings, magnets, trinket dishes, and functional art pieces like handmade clocks.

I love creating pieces that are playful, colorful, and a little unexpected. Many of my designs are inspired by the holidays because I love dressing up for the season… especially for my students. If it makes someone smile, I’ve done my job!

After joining the Sawdust Winter Fantasy in 2022, I’m excited to be part of the summer show and continue sharing work that began with connection, creativity, and a lot of joy.
