Artist Statement
I intend to showcase the spontaneity of nature, particularly in plant growth cycles. I feel abstract painting is the best vehicle to achieve this spontaneity. The work unfolds to me as I move through the process.
In natural landscapes, forms come into view while others dissipate and go back into the earth. My intention is for the work to convey a sense of renewal and introspection, allowing for the viewer to discover new elements in the work as time goes on, much like how the natural world unfolds.
