Artist Statement
In my art, I focus on exploring the intersections between emotion, memory, and environment, often blending abstract and figurative elements to create immersive, layered experiences. What sets me apart is my commitment to storytelling through subtle details — using texture, color shifts, and symbolism to evoke personal yet universally relatable narratives. I am drawn to overlooked moments and quiet transformations, and I aim to give them a voice. My work invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and find pieces of their own stories within mine.
Artist Bio
My art is a reflection of my life, a reflection of myself.
I am a Laguna Beach-based artist with a bachelor’s degree in graphics design. Creating fine artworks for over 20 years, I started my career in commercial art by working as a graphic designer. I work mainly with oil media, but also enjoy creating mixed media with gold leaf as well. My brush strokes and textures create an unforgettable experience for the viewer. Each brushstroke builds up a story and has life and passion.
I create bold & colorful oil paintings on Patinaed Gold Leaf with detailed and rich textures. My objects are breathing creatures in which I release their inner beauty using color and brush strokes.
