I never saw myself as a creative person. But after leaving Sweden, I realized that not working didn’t work for me. So, I bought two galleries in London, UK.

While attending wholesale trade shows, I met many artists and makers of beautiful objects—and decided I wanted to try it myself.

In the 1990s, my work found its way into homes, galleries, and museums across most of Europe. When I moved to the U.S., I did all the trade shows—which almost killed me! It was like having a job!

Eventually, I stepped back from wholesale and focused on the Sawdust Art Festival and the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, which—thankfully—have never felt like a job.
