As a wildlife and landscape photographer based in the beautiful community of Laguna Beach, California, I strive to capture the stunning beauty of our natural resources. Each photograph I take serves not just as a piece of art but as a reminder of the diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes that surround us. Through my work, which I showcase at various art shows throughout the region, I hope to inspire others to recognize the importance of protecting and preserving our planet. Photography, for me, is more than just an expressive medium; it’s a call to action. I invite viewers to join me in the mission to safeguard the vibrant world we cherish today, ensuring that it remains accessible and thriving for future generations. Together, we can create a ripple effect, leading to a greater awareness and appreciation for our environment. Let us unite in our efforts to protect the natural beauty that enriches our lives.

Artist Bio

Paul’s photography transports viewers to the majestic wilds of Africa, igniting a passion to preserve the continent’s breathtaking natural wonders and awe-inspiring wildlife for generations to come. Born and raised amidst the untamed splendor of Tanzania, Paul developed a deep reverence for the environment and its inhabitants from early in his youth. As a young boy roaming the bush, he set aside his slingshot in favor of a Brownie Box Camera, then graduated to a 35-millimeter camera, compelled to capture the raw beauty surrounding him. This childhood fascination blossomed into an insatiable wanderlust, leading Paul on far-flung photographic odysseys from the sun-drenched California coast to the fiery fall foliage of New England.

Yet, inevitably, the captivating call of Africa’s savannas and the soulful gaze of its majestic creatures drew him home. During the past 19 years, Paul has guided 91 photographic safaris across Africa’s most iconic landscapes, from the sprawling plains of the Serengeti to the mist-shrouded peaks of the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda. These unparalleled adventures have yielded an extraordinary body of work, with each evocative image telling a story of unbridled wilderness, primal beauty, and the delicate dance between predator and prey.

Through Paul’s lens, we come face to face with the raw power and indomitable spirit of Africa’s legendary wildlife – the thundering charge of an elephant herd, the intense stare of a leopard poised in a tree, the regal stride of a lion surveying his kingdom. These images serve not merely as stunning works of art, but as an urgent call to action, reminding us of the vital importance of preserving Africa’s irreplaceable natural heritage for all time.
