Artist Statement
As a Jewelry Artist, I am captivated by the duality of metal, embodying both its hardness and malleability, its capacity to be both robust and delicate. Through my passion for sculpture, I juxtapose contrasting shapes and textures, crafting wearable art pieces that evoke a profound sense of magic and intention. My work explores the convergence of nature and human form. Employing a diverse range of materials, including precious metals, gemstones, and semi-precious stones, I create pieces that resonate with the wearer, fostering a connection to the natural world and expressing their unique individuality.
My aspiration is to infuse my jewelry with a palpable emotional impact, ensuring that the wearer feels a profound connection to their body and the artistry that went into its creation.
Artist Bio
Sarvi Hosseini has always been a creative soul, captivated by the arts from a young age. A diverse range of artistic influences have shaped her work, with the harmonious fusion of various mediums being the hallmark of Sarvi Hosseini Jewelry.
Sarvi’s designs are a perfect blend of Persian art and Western fashion, a true East meets West fusion. Born in Tehran, Iran, Persian architecture and its intricate geometrical patterns and lines have a profound influence on her work. She says, “My roots deeply inspire my keen eye for detail, which sometimes is not the easiest path, but without pushing myself, I will never grow as an artist.”
Growing up in Orange County, California, Sarvi was surrounded by the ocean and Western art. Her mother’s passion for fashion ignited a love for sewing and fashion design in her. This passion led her to explore various arts in high school, including ceramics. She quickly discovered sculpture and spent her summers at the Otis Art Institute, where she honed her skills in visual arts, learning the essential elements of design. Still life became an integral part of her work, and it’s through this medium that she brings her sketches to life.
Sarvi’s jewelry line is a delightful mix of Lost Wax Casting, and Fabrication. She currently showcases her art at the Sawdust Summer and Winter Art Festivals.
