Sylvia was born on the central coast 79 years ago . She moved into the world of Glass 46 years ago. Over that time, she has refined her skills and learned new techniques. She loves working with Bevels because it gives her creativity and understated elegance. After mastering Stained glass, she moved into mixed media, combining glass and metals to make beautiful works of art such as kaleidoscopes, fairies, and boxes. Then she went into creating intriguing and interesting new pieces with her mosaics and mosaic mirrors. Her current venture is in the form of hot glass, fusing, etching, and painting with powders and frit. A timeless artist must continue to grow and change. Sylvia has succeeded in that regard.

All of my works obtain their own themes, whether that piece is a window, mosaic, kaleidoscope, box or a fairy. Everything I create is done with the pure love of design. As a (Glass) artist, I refuse to let my materials limit my creativity. I find myself constantly pushing the limits with my art as I seek a new ways to bring my Glass work to Life.
